Monsters Ball Adventure Dinner
Thu, Oct 29 + Fri, Oct 30, 2026
Adventure Dinner Clubhouse, Colchester, VT
Monsters gathered for the Monsters Ball! Guests were guided through a hauntingly elegant multi-course dinner where each course reimagined an iconic movie monster through the lens of the harvest season: from the ethereal Invisible Man to the decadent Count Dracula. It was a night of inventive cuisine, candlelit atmosphere, and classic Halloween magic that celebrated the monsters we know and love in deliciously unexpected ways.
We started our evening with a Haunting Hour in our demon-filled lounge and den, where guests enjoyed the first hellish dishes. Potent potables and evil delights (boozy and alcohol free!) were served from our Spooky Bar. With a drink in hand, guests could relax at their table or explore the hidden ghosts in all the corners of our Clubhouse.
Spooky Snack
The Invisible Man - Dashi Raindrop Cake, White Shoyu, Pickled Daikon, Trout Roe DF/GF
After our haunting hour, our be-witching host led guests to their table—each outfitted with different diabolical decor that would please even the most fussy Frankenstein. Our second course had heads rolling! The dried apples were hand carved into frightening faces by one of our brilliant staff members.
Hollowed Harvest
The Headless Horseman - Roasted Squash + Chicories Salad, Shaved Apples, Dried Cranberry, Toasted Pepitas, Maple Sherry Vinaigrette Vegan/GF
Danger of the Deep
The Creature from the Black Lagoon - Soy-Braised Black Lentils, Smoked Mushrooms, Charred Leeks, Crispy Kombu Vegan/GF
The main feast was a staff and guest favorite and will haunt our dreams for years to come. The porchetta was the star of the evening—slow-cooked beef eye round roast encased in tender pork belly, herb/spice mix in between layers. A nod to the mash up to create Frankenstein’s Monster!
Frightening Feast
Frankenstein’s Monster - Pork Belly + Beef Roulade, Mushroom + Black Garlic Jus DF/GF
The Bride of Frankenstein - Charred Cauliflower, Whipped Parsnip, Roasted Hazelnuts Vegan/GF
The Wolfman - Roasted Cabbage, Juniper Butter, Caraway Breadcrumbs Vegan/GF
We wrapped our feast with a custom contest! Nominated by our staff and winner voted for by our guests. A joyful way to celebrate the spooky season and end our evening. But not before enjoying our dope vegan chocolate mousse, topped with luxardo-style red wine preserved cherries and candied cocoa nibs!
Deadly Dessert
Count Dracula - Dark Chocolate Mousse, Red Wine Preserved Cherries, Candied Cocoa Nibs Vegan/GF
