Adventure Dinner is a creative events and catering company that hosts unexpected food and drink experiences around Vermont.
Our mission is to support and showcase the VT farms, producers, and small businesses that make our Brave Little State strong.
With over 500 events under our party planning belts, Adventure Dinner believes that thoughtful food and drink facilitates meaningful gatherings. We cook with the seasons of Vermont and design meals that all guests will enjoy, regardless of dietary restrictions or allergies.
We also operate our own 75-seat jewel-box event space, The Clubhouse, where we host our own events and offer private rentals.

Sas Stewart
Founder
Sas Stewart is a serial entrepreneur passionate about creating spaces that foster joy, acceptance and celebration—a pursuit she has manifested over her 20 years in hospitality.
She was named Imbibe Magazine’s 75 inspiring people influencing the way you’ll drink in 2023, and her projects have been featured in Travel and Leisure, Martha Stewart Living, Food and Wine, Outside Magazine, Sift, Bloomberg, Better Homes and Gardens and other publications.
Before launching Adventure Dinner, Sas was the co-founder of the award-winning distillery Stonecutter Spirits and Highball Social (cocktail bar).
She is a graduate of the SBA Emerging Leaders program, and holds a B.A in English from the University of Michigan and a M.S. in Sustainable Planning and Development from Pratt Institute.
Lauren Hayes
Director of Operations
Since becoming Adventure Dinner's first employee in 2021, Lauren Hayes has played a pivotal role in shaping its growth. She spearheads the private events and weddings sector, working closely with clients to design thoughtful, seamless, and highly personalized experiences from concept through execution. Lauren oversees hiring and team development, leads events of all scales, and ensures each gathering reflects Adventure Dinner’s signature balance of joy, precision, and creativity.
As the driving force behind the company’s beverage program, Lauren creates vibrant, seasonal cocktails, refined non-alcoholic offerings, and thoughtful, expressive wine pairings that bring each menu and occasion to life.
Prior to Adventure Dinner, Lauren was the General Manager and Wine Director at the award-winning restaurant Pammy’s in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which earned numerous “Best Restaurant” accolades and recognition as one of Bon Appétit’s Top 50 Best New Restaurants. Her wine program focused on small-production, natural wines, thoughtfully curated to appeal to both adventurous and classic palates.
Lauren is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she earned a BA with academic and studio honors in Painting. She has been featured in publications including The Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Improper Boston, Travel + Leisure, and SevenFifty Daily.
Eric Hodet
Executive Chef
Eric Hodet is a proud Vermonter and seasoned chef who has been immersed in the culinary world since the age of 13. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Eric further honed his expertise while studying food, wine, and agriculture across Italy. Upon returning to Vermont, he thrived in diverse culinary environments—from casual comfort food to fine dining and everything in between.
In 2022, Eric’s leadership at Burlington’s Cafe Mamajuana earned the restaurant recognition by the James Beard Foundation as a semifinalist for Best New Restaurant.
With a passion for creativity and a deep love for the culinary arts, Eric embraces the challenges of foodservice with enthusiasm. He thrives on crafting innovative dishes, whether through whole animal utilization or thoughtfully crafted plant-based creations, and remains driven by the endless possibilities that food offers.
